Evolving Nine-Muses

Dear Members and admins of the group.

We are considering making a few changes to the group Nine Muses.  Kindly bear with me as I ramble a little and give you some insight into the reasons behind the change.

Well most of you will know that there is a very close harmony between the groups Nine-Muses and love-new-artists

 

Most of the admins are the same, most of the members of common to both groups and the general theme of submissions is the same, as the groups encompass the complete spectra of art forms that are to be found on DA.  In fact most of the deviations and submissions are common to both groups.

The focus of both groups has been to develop a more communicative and interactive set of members and admins, to show case wonderful works of art and to encourage new and aspiring artists.

Thus we find both groups almost duplicating each other.

After a lot of thought jenny jennystokes.deviantart.com/ and myself have come up with a proposal to take advantage of this close collaboration between the two groups.

The basic concept would be to keep love-new-artists as it is.  A functional healthy welcoming group for all artists and experienced and budding alike.  But Nine-Muses would become more discerning in content.  (as much as we both hate elitist groups), by close collaboration we would hope to avoid this pitfall and Nine-Muses would become lets say a "show case" of excellent artwork for both the groups and be like a next step for new artists to aspire to have a more exclusive show case.  Something like a more structured and comprehensive "featured folder" ...

How would we achieve this ...we are still evolving the details of how it would work but a basic guideline is as follows :

(a)  Members of Nine-Muses are requested to be a member of love-new-artists (if they all ready are not) and vice versa

(b)  Submissions to Nine-Muses will become more selective.

(c)  If an art work is not accepted on Nine-Muses, the admins will themselves suggest the work to be included in love-new-artists.

(d) If the admins of Love-New-artists find an exceptional work in the submissions they will suggest it to be included in Nine-Muses

(e) So members don't have to submit to both groups ..and admins would have to put a little more effort.

(f)  Nobody will be denied membership to Nine-Muses .. all will be welcome.

I really would like to hear every bodies suggestions and inputs to make this concept and idea really workable.
